Science For Life: Summer Program for High School Women

  • Abstract

    In order to demonstrate to young women that science careers are exciting and challenging the University of Michigan and Warner-Lambert/Park-Davis Pharmaceuticals are conducting a four-part program including a 6-week summer research internship for female high school students (grades 11 and 12) at University of Michigan and Warner-Lambert labs. The project will produce a video to demonstrate that young women can successfully pursue science careers with the proper high school science background conduct an annual teacher workshop to assist teachers in supporting female students in science and consult with other research universities and organization to ensure that all Science for Life activities are replicated.
