October – National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Breast cancer is unfortunately an issue that hits too close to home for many of us. The Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion is helping to raise awareness about the importance of detecting breast cancer early. Please visit healthfinder.gov/NHO/OctoberToolkit for tips and information on how you can help spread the word about the importance early detection with our families and the community.
Also the National Cancer Institute has a number of informative resources available about breast cancer prevention, screening, treatment, statistics, research, clinical trials, and more.
