Rebecca B. Reynolds CHPS, RHIA, FAHIMA, joined the faculty in 2002. She serves a program director for the Health Informatics and Information Management programs. She is a current Commissioner on the Commission on Health Informatics and Information Management (CCHIIM). She is a past president of the Tennessee Health Information Management Association and has served on workgroups for the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) as well as on the AHIMA Nominating Committee. She has served on the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) Council on Excellence in Education. and is also privacy coordinator for the campus. She serves as editor for the THIMA Legal Handbook and also as a co-editor of the AHIMA publication Fundamentals of Law for Health Informatics and Information Management. Reynolds is a recipient of the Tennessee Health Information Management Association’s Distinguished Member Award. Reynolds is well known for expertise in legal and documentation issues through teaching numerous HIPAA, legal, and documentation workshops. She is a fellow of the AHIMA.
