Ana Paula Cupertino, PhD, is the Director of JUNTOS Center for Advancing Latino Health and a Latina Associate Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health at KUMC School of Medicine. Over the past five years, she has developed a career focused on health disparities through various diverse NIH funded projects. As the Principal Investigator, Dr. Cupertino is in charge of implementing all aims of this project, including curriculum development, implementation, faculty and staff training, and evaluation efforts. She leads the development of the Education Advisory Board, assists with recruitment efforts, and coordinates Human Subject Committee approval. She closely oversees ongoing evaluation and dissemination plans in collaboration with co-investigators, the research team and the Educational Advisory Board.
