At Utah’s 35th annual Governor’s Medals for Science and Technology awards ceremony earlier this month, seven Utahns were honored for their contributions to science and technology, including Dr. Louise Stark, director of the Genetic Science Learning Center at the University of Utah. The center, partially funded through the Science Education Partnership Award (SEPA) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), created the Teach.Genetics and Learn.Genetics websites, which provide free-of-charge information and resources on genetics, bioscience, and health topics to teachers, students, and the general public. All materials on both sites meet U.S. education standards for science and health.
