Other laboratory and clinical facilities carry out research in Asia, Africa, and Europe through cooperative partnerships with host governments and militaries through the US State Department. Silver Spring MD 20910-7500Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) continues to be at the forefront of developing and implementing a continuum of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) educational opportunities essential to developing the potential in our youth for STEM careers.
WRAIR takes part in engaging a diverse group of the youngest scientists and engineers in hands-on experiments in our teaching laboratory or in research internships in our laboratories. It is part of the National Security Strategy that we train the next generation of STEM professionals.
